Emergency Tips
Injuries and infections that occur to the teeth, gums and mouth are often painful and professional treatment should be sought right away. The following are the most common emergencies and tips on how to cope with them.
Knocked Out Tooth
If the tooth is dirty, gently rinse it under running water, do not scrub or remove any tissue from the tooth.
Gently place the tooth and hold it back into the socket.
If that is not possible, place the tooth in a cup of cool water or milk. The tooth can also be placed between the cheek and gum within the mouth. Do not let it dry out.
Go immediately to your dentist or emergency room (if after hours), preferably within 30 minutes.
Fractured Tooth (Trauma to Face)
 Rinse the mouth with water
Apply cold compress to injured site to reduce swelling
 Call your dentist immediately
