President's Message

Hello St. Louis Dental Hygienists!

BIG NEWS: Our very own Diann Bomkamp, RDH, BSDH, CDHC was installed this summer at the ADHA 85th annual session in Albuquerque, NM as PRESIDENT. That's right, President of the American Dental Hygienists' Association. Diann is a truly awesome person! It is a great honor to have her working on our behalf. Thank you, Diann!!! One of Diann's goals is to help strengthen components on the local level through increased membership in ADHA. She would like for the member or potential member to realize that the focus of the association is ultimately on the hygienist and the future of our profession. She invites everyone to join the association and see what it can do for you.

Fall has come, winter is around the corner. Time flies! This is my last message as President of GSLDHA. Thank you all for making me feel welcome. These last two years have gone by so quickly. I have enjoyed getting to know all of my board members and I have made some lasting friendships. I am really blessed to have had this chance. I encourage all of you to get involved in GSLDHA. We have some wonderful people working for us and you would be amazed at the fun you might have!

Congratulations to our new president, Kristen McDaniels! Kristen and husband Chas, welcomed Julia Marie to their family this summer. Kristen will be a wonderful leader of GSLDHA. I admire her greatly!
